What you'll see
Tribe Gate is Havelock's gentlest reef — a sunlit coral garden in 8–12m of clear, warm water (27–30°C, visibility often 15–25m). Clownfish dart through their anemones, parrotfish crunch the coral, and butterflyfish drift past in pairs. You'll likely meet a green sea turtle grazing the seagrass, while shoals of electric-blue chromis part around you. Shallow, calm and alive — the reason most first dives in Havelock happen right here.
Who it's for
Worth the extra training time if your goal is to actually feel confident underwater, not just tick off a first dive. The longer briefing means less hesitation once you're below the surface.
How it works
Arrive & meet
Collected within 5km of the jetty, with time set aside to ask your instructor questions before you suit up.
Safety brief
A fuller 50-minute session — more than our shorter packages — so the basics genuinely sink in.
